Finnish Death Metallers Amorphis have some “breaking news” to announce – their first return to trek across North America in almost ten years. Original Y&T Guitarist Joey Alves Passes Away

Y&T’s rhythm guitarist from the classic lineup, Joey Alves, has sadly passed away at the age of 63. Joey played in the band from 1974 until 1989, throughout eight studio albums including the band’s debut. The official announcement came from Y&T frontman and sole surviving original member Dave Meniketti, who posted the following on his Facebook page: “It’s with great sadness that I write this today. Y&T’s original rhythm guitarist, Joey Alves, passed away at 7:10 this morning at the age of 63. He suffered from ulcerative colitis and other complications that led to his passing. Australian Hard Rockers Airbourne have got a message to deliver while they’re Breakin’ Outta Hell on their latest studio album. The Spinefarm Records release includes a new track by the name of “It’s All For Rock N’ Roll”, and it’s all about Lemmy. L.A. Thrashers Warbringer have thrown a brand-new track at fans, and it hits hard. The band’s debut on Napalm Records (but fifth album altogether), Woe To The Vanquished, is set to be released on March 31st, and the newly released audio offers a sneak peek for what to expect. For nearly a year, Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has been blending brews in the name of his boutique coffee brand, Ellefson Coffee Company.
