EXIST is a group of musicians out of Maryland that defy many descriptions with their unique touch to Progressive and Technical Death Metal. As the release of a new Municipal Waste record approaches, a second video has been released to give a preview of what’s to come. “Amateur Sketch” is the last track we heard from the band, and now they’ve revealed the title track of the album, “Slime and Punishment”. Death Metallers Broken Hope are “mutilating and assimilating” fans little by little as they continue to release singles off their upcoming “The Thing”-inspired record. “The Carrion Eaters” is the latest, and a video to accompany the savage second single has premiered via Metal Insider: http://www.metalinsider.net/video/video-premiere-broken-hope-the-carrion-eaters. Montreal-based Thrashers Mutank are preparing their new Boonsdale Records EP W.H.A.T.S.T.H.A.T. for a June 16th release. The 2014 Wacken Metal Battle Canada winners’ EP will be provide a taste of their upcoming full-length once it’s released, and Decibel Magazine has a taste of it all to offer right now, as they’ve teamed up with Mutank for an exclusive single premiere and introductory interview”. Vader is on the road as they kick off a North American tour at Maryland Deathfest tonight. The Strike of the Empire 21-date trek also features Internal Bleeding, Sacrificial Slaughter, Voices of Ruin, and Micawber. From East to West and back again, Vader will be touring in support of The Empire, their release from Nuclear Blast last year which followed up the Polish Death Metallers’ 2014 Tibi Et Igni, both of which are available on the band’s webstore. Progressive Metal band SikTh’s upcoming record The Future In Whose Eyes? will be premiering on Millennium Night through Peaceville Records next week, with a release date of June 2nd set. You’d be hard pressed to find many bands that identify as a “nomadic folk metal” group, but it’s a title that Tengger Cavalry seems to have invented and claimed for themselves. The recent M-Theory Audio signees have their new record Die On My Ride coming up in just a few weeks, and two singles have been revealed so far, ahead of the June 2nd release. Satyricon, Norway’s Black Metal legends, recently signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records, which means a brand new record is on the way. Further details including the title and track listing have yet to be announced, but one confirmed fact so far is that the release date will be September 22nd. That same weekend will see the start of a European tour to support the album. Arkona and Sirenia have just started out a month long North American tour together, beginning their journey in NYC’s Webster Hall. This is a very special run for both bands, as it’s not only Arkona’s 15th Anniversary, but Sirenia’s first time ever touring North America. Arkona also has a new album in the works, and they’ll be slipping some yet-to-be-recorded tracks into the setlist for their 15th Anniversary show audiences.
