Mark Slaughter Signs to EMP for New Solo Record

Mark Slaughter delivered a surprise announcement on social media Friday, officially declaring his signing of a deal with EMP Label Group, Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson’s record label. The Slaughter frontman’s second solo effort (following 2015’s Reflections In A Rear View Mirror) is entitled Halfway There, and it’s already set to be released on May 26th. The record has also been signed in a joint venture with Universal Music Japan International and Halfway There will hit shelves in Japan on May 10th, coinciding with Slaughter’s Japan tour featuring a stop in Tokyo at the L.A. Australian Hard Rockers Airbourne have got a message to deliver while they’re Breakin’ Outta Hell on their latest studio album. The Spinefarm Records release includes a new track by the name of “It’s All For Rock N’ Roll”, and it’s all about Lemmy. The band has made it known that they forged a friendship with Lemmy through many occasions of sharing the stage with Motörhead. Disturbed has a new video, and it features live footage from their 2016 time on the road. “Immortalized” is the track that made it from record to screen, off their album of the same name from almost two years ago. Halestorm Covers Joan Jett

Hard Rockers Halestorm have been working on some covers, and the latest has just been released  – Joan Jett & The Blackhearts’ hit “I Hate Myself For Loving You”. ReAniMate 3.0: The Covers EP is the title of the latest upcoming release from the band, and the third cover album features covers spanning rock, metal and even pop as they take on tracks by Whitesnake, Metallica, and Sophie B.
