Thrash Metal meets late-night TV – making some headlines this week are Slayer, who are set to make a late-night appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon next week. Marty Friedman Releases Third Single off New Record

Renowned solo artist and Japanese Heritage Ambassador Marty Friedman has a new record on the way, and the instrumental Wall of Sound is set for an August 4th release on Prosthetic Records. Accept Approach “The Rise of Chaos”

August 4th marks the date that Accept is set to have their fourth album, entitled The Rise of Chaos, released on Nuclear Blast Records, and the first single has already been revealed. Legendary Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell’s new band Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons (consisting of Phil’s three actual sons) is no secret, as the group has an EP out and has kept busy touring with the likes of Saxon, but what does come as news is their official signing to a worldwide record deal with Nuclear Blast. Antidote Releasing The Rock Years

NYC “First Wave of American Hardcore” contributors Antidote have been around since 1983, but had a big shift in style in the late 80’s as they got into Hard Rock in 1988. The band has teamed up with Old School Metal Records for a new record featuring remastered tracks from this Hard Rock-oriented time in their careers, known as Antidote: The Rock Years. June 9th marks the date of this compilation, in vinyl, CD, and digital form. Ride For Ronnie Motorcycle Rally Raises $40,000

The Third Annual “Ride For Ronnie” took place a few weekends ago, on Sunday May 7th, in an effort to raise money for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. Music fans, musicians, and other celebrity guests gathered to ride in the rally, which was accompanied throughout the day by several concerts and an all-star jam led by Steven Adler. Cavalera Conspiracy is back, with new music from the Sepultura legends Max and Igor Cavalera in the form of a fourth album. The yet-to-be-titled record is set for a Fall 2017 Napalm Records release, and the making-of will be documented by Horns Up Rocks along the way in a series called “The Conspiracy Diaries”. W.A.S.P. Celebrate 25th Anniversary of “The Crimson Idol”

In 1992, W.A.S.P. unleashed a concept album by the name of The Crimson Idol, telling the rise-and-fall story of a rock star.
