Appice to Perform Debut Album at Select Live Shows

There’s something “sinister” on the way from a project formed by two legendary figures in the rock and metal worlds…and they just happen to be brothers who are both drummers. Sweet & Lynch Are “Unified” in Lyric Video for “Afterlife”

Sweet & Lynch, the Frontiers-signed band whose name combines that of Stryper frontman Michael Sweet and Lynch Mob/Ex-Dokken guitarist George Lynch, are on their way to releasing their second album this fall – an 11-track full-length by the name of Unified. Third Annual Bowl for Ronnie Officially Announced

For the third year in a row, the season approaches for the rock ’n’ roll celebrity charity event known as Bowl for Ronnie. Taking place in Studio City, California, the bowling party’s proceeds benefit the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. The Time Has Come – Europe celebrated the 30th Anniversary of their iconic album The Final Countdown at the end of last year with a grand-scale show in London. Lynch Mob to Release “The Brotherhood”

Lynch Mob has got a new album ready and raring to go on Rat Pak Records. The Brotherhood has recently been announced as the latest effort from the band, and though we’ve yet to get a sonic taste, plenty of details have already been revealed. Antidote Releasing The Rock Years

NYC “First Wave of American Hardcore” contributors Antidote have been around since 1983, but had a big shift in style in the late 80’s as they got into Hard Rock in 1988. The band has teamed up with Old School Metal Records for a new record featuring remastered tracks from this Hard Rock-oriented time in their careers, known as Antidote: The Rock Years. June 9th marks the date of this compilation, in vinyl, CD, and digital form. Ride For Ronnie Motorcycle Rally Raises $40,000

The Third Annual “Ride For Ronnie” took place a few weekends ago, on Sunday May 7th, in an effort to raise money for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. Music fans, musicians, and other celebrity guests gathered to ride in the rally, which was accompanied throughout the day by several concerts and an all-star jam led by Steven Adler. W.A.S.P. Celebrate 25th Anniversary of “The Crimson Idol”

In 1992, W.A.S.P. unleashed a concept album by the name of The Crimson Idol, telling the rise-and-fall story of a rock star. Mark Slaughter Signs to EMP for New Solo Record

Mark Slaughter delivered a surprise announcement on social media Friday, officially declaring his signing of a deal with EMP Label Group, Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson’s record label. The Slaughter frontman’s second solo effort (following 2015’s Reflections In A Rear View Mirror) is entitled Halfway There, and it’s already set to be released on May 26th. The record has also been signed in a joint venture with Universal Music Japan International and Halfway There will hit shelves in Japan on May 10th, coinciding with Slaughter’s Japan tour featuring a stop in Tokyo at the L.A. Original Y&T Guitarist Joey Alves Passes Away

Y&T’s rhythm guitarist from the classic lineup, Joey Alves, has sadly passed away at the age of 63. Joey played in the band from 1974 until 1989, throughout eight studio albums including the band’s debut. The official announcement came from Y&T frontman and sole surviving original member Dave Meniketti, who posted the following on his Facebook page: “It’s with great sadness that I write this today. Y&T’s original rhythm guitarist, Joey Alves, passed away at 7:10 this morning at the age of 63. He suffered from ulcerative colitis and other complications that led to his passing.
