NAMM 2025 – the site of the 13th Annual She Rocks Awards, celebrating a remarkable 13 years of honoring women in the music and audio industries. Taking place at the Hilton Anaheim Pacific Ballroom, this year’s celebration had the She Rocks Awards right at the center of all the NAMM action. Metal Magnitude had the honor of being present for our third time covering the She Rocks Awards.

The festivities kicked off with opener Shantaia, followed by an opening statement by Women’s International Music Network and She Rocks Awards founder Laura B. Whitmore, acknowledging the recent Los Angeles fires and She Rocks’ collaboration with NAMM’s Wildfire Relief Fund, collecting donations at the event. Former honoree Starr Parodi made a return appearance alongside her daughter Isolde Maria Parodi Fair. The two sadly lost their family home in the Palisades fires, and Parodi was presented with a new She Rocks award to replace her original, followed by a mother-daughter performance.

Featured Rockers this year included Stitched Up Heart, whose very own Alecia “Mixi” Demner received an award and performed a high-energy set with the band lineup of Merritt Goodwin, Randy Mathias, and their newest member, Delaney Jaster.

Katie Daryl, best known for her Rock Journalist career and presence on AXS TV (including as the former VP of Programming), made a return to She Rocks after co-hosting the event in 2022, this time becoming an Honoree herself.

AIJIA is primarily known in the pop/singer-songwriter space, but has also touched the rock world through her work as an ambassador and teacher with Rock ‘N’ Roll Camp For Girls, inspiring and empowering youth to make music and claim their space in the genre. Her husband, Andy Grammer, accompanied her as she became a 2025 She Rocks Awards Honoree.

Another featured advocate for youth and inclusivity in music was Nurit Siegel Smith, Executive Director of the charitable organization Music Forward Foundation, and 2025 She Rocks Awards Honoree.

This year’s co-hosts were Jennifer Batten, renowned guitarist best known for her work with Jeff Beck and Michael Jackson, who also received the She Rocks “Icon” award in 2016; and Lindsey Stirling, the She Rocks Awards 2024 honoree whose reputation as a violinist, dancer, and composer defies genres, including a crossover into the Hard Rock world with her Lzzy Hale-featured track “Shatter Me”.

Industry legend and Honoree Beth Heidt is currently the Chief Marketing Officer at Gibson Brands, leading global artist relations and partnerships, while showcasing her advocacy for music education and wellness through the boards of Gibson Gives and Save The Music Foundation, driving initiatives to bring the gift of music to communities worldwide.

Shure Inc.’s Chairman, President, and CEO, Christine Schyvinck, is another industry legend to make an appearance and accept her place as She Rocks Honoree. Pioneering and paving paths as one of the few women in executive leadership in the pro audio industry, she advocates for mentorship and providing access to opportunities for more women in the business.

The She Rocks Awards also honored Singer/Songwriter and Producer Paula Cole, Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls fame, Director of Custom Shop Sales at C.F. Martin Guitar & Co. Theresa Hoffman, and NAMM Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Rozanna Weinberger.

Samantha Fish closed out the night with a dynamic performance, bringing the grand celebration of 2025’s She Rocks Awards to a close, as we already look forward to next year’s continuation of the tradition.
