Chicago Metallers Mordatorium have just released a new record, consisting of original material in the vein of the classic Death Metal that inspires them. Formed in 2007, Mordatorium has been through some changes over the course of their past releases, but locked in a new lineup late last year in light of Obsessed With Death. Thy Art Is Murder have just unleashed their fourth studio album as Dear Desolation is officially out today. The band released several clips leading up to the official unveiling of the record, including a music video for the singles “Slaves Beyond Death” and “The Son of Misery”, plus a guitar play-through of the latter. Moonspell is adding a historical touch to their discography as they prepare for the release of 1755 on Napalm this fall. Bringing their heritage to the forefront, the Portuguese band is creating a work based on the story of the Great Lisbon Earthquake which took place in the title year, entirely in their native language. Album details, including the 10-track listing and cover art (seen above) have now been revealed. 1755 will be out on November 3rd, and will be available for pre-orders soon. Toronto-based record label Artoffact Records has just announced the worldwide deal signing of Vancouver up-and-comers Dead Quiet. The Heavy Metallers made their debut with a self-titled record in 2015, and now the signing with Artoffact is sure to bring another album for the band, which is already in the works with details to be revealed sometime in the near future. On the signing, Artoffact owner Jacek Kozlowski says, “I’ve always been a metalhead, and when I first heard Dead Quiet’s debut, it floored me. It’s a massive honor to be working with the band, and I’m proud to welcome them to the Artoffact roster.” Dead Quiet is currently on the road across Canada, and you can find more on the band via their official Facebook page.

Norway’s Enslaved is set to come out with their 14th full length this fall, with a record simply titled E. The first look and listen into this eight-track epic comes in the form of a track clocking in at just over ten minutes, the debut single “Storm Son”. An animated video crafted by John Graham, whose credits include Soundgarden and Neurosis, can be found on the Nuclear Blast Record YouTube Channel here. Classic meets modern as the legendary British metallers Raven have just announced a U.S. tour for the fall with New England’s Dead by Wednesday along for the ride. The run starts off in just a matter of days, with a New York date on August 17th, and due to some recent health issues with Raven’s regular drummer, Fear Factory’s Mike Heller will fill in behind the kit for the entire run. So far, the tour is set to run through mid-September, with even more dates yet to be announced. In anticipation of this tour, Dead by Wednesday just unveiled a brand-new track, one which is set to be on their full-length record that’s on the way. As Argus prepares for the fall release of their fourth full-length, From Fields of Fire, the pack of Pennsylvanians has already unveiled a lyric video for the single “You Are The Curse”. Upholding a traditional metal sound, From Fields of Fire will have a home on the Cruz Del Sur Music label, and the LP is officially out on September 8th. That very same day as the release, Argus will head out to a brief European run alongside Chicago rockers High Spirits on the Motivatour tour.
