Motanka is just about to unveil their brand of “Mystic Metal” via their self-titled debut this week, set for a June 7^th release. The 2018 Wacken Metal Battle winners from Ukraine have also revealed a new live music video this week in anticipation of the release, for the track “Fire Burns”, which you can check out right here. Here’s what the band has to say about their Ukrainian Folk-inspired debut record: “For the album we recorded ancient instruments: dulcimer, ocarina and throat singing, combined with modern technologies, new instruments and analog sound. This album is like our child, it grew, it learned and became stronger and stronger. Every piece of the album is saturated with the mystical nature of Ukraine. We wrote most of the songs in our hometown Lutsk – the mystical center of Ukraine. The power of the region remained and still is the same for ages.
