Firespawn to Release New Record

Swedish Death Metallers Firespawn have been brewing a new record in the form of The Reprobate. Formed in 2012 by a few of Stockholm’s best, the band signed to Century Media for a debut album in 2015, and now a brand new album is all set for a release this week. Northern Crown Releases “The Others”

If you’re on the hunt for new doom metal, Florida’s Northern Crown might have just what you’re looking for. Taking their classic-tinged and influence-inspired touch to a record entitled The Others in October of last year, the release has been available for streaming on Bandcamp ever since. Megadeth, Meshuggah, TesseracT and Lillake – that’s the lineup most of North America will be getting in June and July when the tour takes off from NY and finishes up in PA while hitting Canada a few times along the way. Life of Agony Premiere “World Gone Mad” Video

Life of Agony is back and fans have been waiting for this for quite some time…12 years to be specific. The Brooklyn Hard Rockers have a new album on the way, entitled A Place Where There’s No More Pain and two singles have been released so far – the title track and “World Gone Mad”. Kataklysm to Support In Flames On Spring Tour Dates

Kataklysm has announced some new U.S. dates, topping off their recent touring in support of their record Of Ghosts And Gods, for which they received a “Heavy Metal Album Of The Year” award at the 45th annual JUNO Awards (Canadian Grammy Equivalent). Witherfall Takes “Nocturnes and Requiems” Track by Track

L.A.’s own Witherfall made their debut late last year, with their self-released record Nocturnes and Requiems. Produced by the band and boasting credits like Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Queensrÿche, Hatebreed, Rob Zombie) mixing and artwork by Kristian Wåhlin (King Diamond, Dissection, Bathory), the appearance of the Power Metal-esque album has been making ripples on the metal scene, and now the band has released a track-by-track breakdown of the whole record with guitarist Jake Dreyer and vocalist Joseph Michael. Mark Slaughter Signs to EMP for New Solo Record

Mark Slaughter delivered a surprise announcement on social media Friday, officially declaring his signing of a deal with EMP Label Group, Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson’s record label. The Slaughter frontman’s second solo effort (following 2015’s Reflections In A Rear View Mirror) is entitled Halfway There, and it’s already set to be released on May 26th.
